Kirriemuir Golf Club

The Brief

When Kirriemuir Golf Club decided to re-develop their web presence, they decided it had to satisfy two purposes. One was to impress potential visitors and provide them with information about the club, prices, facilities and what the course; the other was to act as a tool for the members, to keep them up to date with competitions and events at the club.

The Solution

The developed solution features all of the facilities that the club has to offer, but focused strongly on the course, with a hole by hole walkthrough. The integration of Google Maps means that the club is easy to find and that it gives a relative position, compared to other courses in the area. The members section features news and fixtures lists. These features are dynamic and the administration has full control over what is displayed in the news and fixtures section.

The home page (featured above) acts as an index for what the club has to offer visitors and potential members, with each feature or main selling point contained in a box out. The design was intended to look modern, but also have a classic feel to it. This was achieved by using a combination of modern techniques, such as gradient backgrounds along with muted tones and by using the club logo subtly, but frequently throughout the site.
